# popup add\_edit\_category

Modal for adding or editing a category

## Popup Add Edit Category Reusable Overview

This is the popup used for adding or modifying a `Category` on the platform. Exists in the [menufocusgroup\_category reusable](/ecommerce-platform-template/assets/reuseables/menufocusgroup_category.md) and on the [owner's portal](/ecommerce-platform-template/assets/pages/owners-portal-page.md).

## Key Workflows

#### Button New Category is clicked

* Creates a new `Category` with the inputted `Name` field or modifies the `Name` of the existing `Category`
