Video List Page

Overview

Responsive layout for a generic video page. Includes a main video group, a repeating group for displaying a video playlist, and a content group at the bottom for description and notes. Ideal for online courses or music platform apps.

Structure

  • When this page is added to your app, it will come with five main groups:

    • Group Video - This group contains a Video Input element.

    • Group Playlist - This group contains the UI for selecting a new video and a Repeating Group called RepeatingGroup Dummy.

    • Group Description - This group contains a group for displaying description text.

    • Group responsive content - This group has a hiding rule set by default (when parent width is >1). It collapses the extra horizontal space below the main video group.

    • Group page860Group - This group contains the responsive settings for all modules. All modules should be placed into this group.

  • This page will come with a Popup Hidden Variables. For more information on how to use the Popup Hidden Variables, click here.

    • var - Website object - This group stores the website object (e.g., app name, primary color, and etc.)

    • var - dummy - This is a placeholder group. You can store any data here by updating the type of content and data source of the group.

  • This page will also come with two reusable elements: header A and footer.

How to set up

  • Modify Video Inputs's video source (YouTube or Vimeo) and update the video ID field (t's usually the ID shown in the URL when watching this video on YouTube or Vimeo. It can be a dynamic ID:

    • YouTube video ID is usually 12 characters long

    • Vimeo video ID is usually 10 characters long

  • UpdateRepeatingGroup Dummy's data source

  • Update the conditional statements for IonicIcon ion-android-checkbox and Group Select video

    • The conditional statements are currently placeholders for demo purposes

    • The first rule should be applied when the video lesson hasn't been completed and when Button select lesson is hovered or pressed.

    • The second rule should be applied when the video lesson has been completed.

  • Conditional statement examples for Group Select video

    • The first rule should be applied when the video that the user is currently watching on the page is this video (in the repeating group)

    • The second rule should be applied the video that the user is currently watching on the page is not this video (in the repeating group) and when Button select video is hovered or pressed.

  • Update the text in Group Description Content or hide Group Description if not needed.

  • Resize Group page860Group and add other modules inside of it

If you add more modules, please resize Group PLACEHOLDER 3 so that it is not overlapping with any other elements (for responsiveness). Lastly, make sure Group responsive content's height is always as tall as the top of Group Description and the bottom of Group Content.
