Uploading legal docs

Through the Admin portal, you should set up your app's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

The Canvas template already has a generic version of both of the documents set up. However, you may want or need to customize them based on the app you're building. For example, if you plan to serve users based in France and need to respect the GDPR regulations, you will need to address that in your Terms and Privacy Policy.

The default documents also contain references to text that needs to be changed - if you search for all references of the word "Sample" and replace those with an appropriate word (usually the legal name of your company), that is a start, but you should also determine if the content of the documents is appropriate for your application.

We have compiled lists of legal resources related to creating your Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, and urge you to look at these documents closely and carefully for your application.

Pages to display these docs

Included with the template are the Terms and Conditions page and the Privacy Policy page. These pages display the legal docs for your application. Users can find these pages through links in the page footer and at user signup.
